The PC6000 state-of-the-art industrial PC range from InnoScan Computing has been developed with a view to accommodating the market need for greater processor capacity and high-resolution displays and – especially – the demand for simplified service and operating functionality.

The PC6000 is designed as a series of modules. Level 1 is the basic computer.
The basic unit can then be expanded by adding other modules:
PC6000 level 2: Integral fitting
PC6000 level 3: Cabinet fitting
PC6000 level 4: Complete IP65 enclosure

As a supplier of industrial PCs, InnoScan Computing fully realizes that downtime is a vital factor in industrial production. That's why the company developed the concept of the PC6000 level 1. When the need arises for service or replacement, it is necessary to remove only the basic computer – the PC6000 level 1. Replacement takes only five minutes, and the industrial PC is up and running again – thanks to automatic self-configuration.

Through modular design, InnoScan enables the customer to choose any size of display, as all its PC6000 fronts are compatible with the PC6000 level 1. The customer can switch freely between the SVGA or SXGA interface because the PC6000 level 1 basic computer automatically configures the display at startup.
The PC6000 incorporates the Pentium P-II processor and is therefore a powerful industrial PC for demanding applications. This is fully supported by the LCD display and SXGA resolution.
The PC6000 has a motherboard developed in-house by InnoScan Computing, ensuring continuity of product and functionality. The customer is also assured an unchanged configuration.

The PC6000 level 1 basic computer comprises a separate EMC-ready box containing an in-house developed motherboard with Pentium II/III processor, a powerful graphics controller, PCI bus, on-board Ethernet card, and DRAM. The PC6000 level 1 also has a hard drive, power supply and all relevant connectors. The customer chooses DRAM, hard drive and CPU. The PC6000 level 1 is not normally used as a stand-alone but in conjunction with PC6000 levels 2, 3 or 4.

The PC6000 level 2 is one of the most compact industrial PCs on the market, and is a PC6000 level 1 completed with mounting plate incorporating an LCD-TFT display. The PC6000 level 2 is typically used by OEM customers who make great demands upon their equipment but who are themselves responsible for integrating and building in the PC unit.

The PC6000 level 3 differs from the PC6000 level 2 in having an IP65 category stainless-steel front, coated with cleanser-resistant foil. The PC6000 level 3 also carries the CE symbol representing the EMC directive on industrial PCs. The PC6000 level 3 is designed for vertical, horizontal or perpendicular panel or rack fitting.

The PC6000 level 4 is the state-of-the-art model in the PC6000 range in its complete IP65 and EMC certified stainless-steel cabinet. The PC6000 level 3 and level 4 models are particularly suitable for environments which are subject to severe electrical interference or moisture and/or where hygiene standards are extremely high.
