“OEM” – from the Danish manufacturer,
InnoScan Computing A/S, is a high performance open frame industrial
computer, built to be integrated into an end product. PC6000
"OEM" has all the benefits contained within the "Basic
PC", and the freedom of designing your own front. This gives
machine builders a great start to their operator- solutions.
PC6000 “OEM” front module is a display unit that connects to
the "Basic PC" via a single connector and 8 bolts. The front
modules support plug-and-play, and PC6000 automatically detects size and
resolution of the display. The OEM front module is fitted with a EMC
shielding to the sides, but is open in the front. Here the end design of
the machine builder must incorporate the necesary shielding. This is
just one of the reasons, why the technicians at InnoScan so often work
together with customers to create the optimal OEM solution.
The PC6000 series of industrial computers owes its high
performance and low power consumption to the Intel Pentium Celeron/II/III
Mobile Module, and the Intel BX chipset. To the low power design is
added a cooling system, equipped with filters and sensors, allowing the
PC6000 to monitor itself. Status LED’s on the front module, and
Windows NT software, enable valuable service information to be logged
and displayed in real time; allowing secure and preventive maintenance.
The PC6000 also contains an on-board AGP-based video controller, a
10/100 Mbit fast Ethernet, and all other necessary controllers. These
features are mounted within a fully compliant EMC, vibration and shock
resistant casing. An optional expansion-slot box may be fitted, allowing
the use of ordinary ISA and PCI cards, while ensuring full mechanical
stability. These features, plus the modular mounting of moving
components, for fast and easy replacement make the PC6000, one of the
most rugged, powerful, and service-friendly industrial-PC’s available.
